Bleaching Your Grey Hair at Home Is Dangerous
If you’d like to turn your hair blonde, it’s best not to use any chemicals.
However, if you must use chemicals, make sure you do it in a salon. Home bleaching has caused so much damage. And trust me, you do not want that to be you.
So, if you want to bleach your hair with chemicals and you’re not a professional, please go to the salon.
On the other hand, you can use the natural method, which I’m about to show you.
How to Turn Gray Hair Blonde Naturally
Step One: Get Your Ingredients
If you want to color your hair naturally, turning it from gray to blonde, the first thing you will need is lemon juice.
Many other alternatives you often hear about, like walnut shells and coffee, only make your hair darker. And since that’s not the result that we want, we will leave them off the table for now.
Other materials you’ll need include: henna powder, honey, and some conditioner.
Step Two: Mix the Ingredients
Squeeze the lemon into a bowl and add at least 3 tablespoons of henna powder.
Then pour in some honey and about 3 tablespoons of conditioner.
The honey is there to lighten up the henna effect because, normally, when henna is used on hair, it produces a dark blonde.
But honey contains hydrogen peroxide, which has a bleaching effect. So, mixed with henna, it should give you a lighter shade of blonde than if you used just henna powder.
As for the conditioner, you’re adding that to give your hair a nice sheen. So, make sure you don’t leave it out.
Now that you know what each of the ingredients does, mix your solution until each item is evenly distributed. After that, pour the mixture into a container.
Step Three: Spray Daily
Now that you have your mixture in a bottle, you want to spray it onto your hair daily for at least 3 weeks.
And while you apply your mixture, make sure you comb your hair thoroughly so that the colors are even and all the parts of your hair come out light.
Exposure to the sun is super important if you want to turn your grey hair blonde naturally.
So, if it’s not sunny season yet, you might want to hold off on starting the process until it’s sunny outside.
The procedure will only work if you have good exposure to UV rays from the sun.
Wrapping Up
Using the method I shared with you in this article, you should be able to get that blonde hair within a short time.
It might not be as instantaneous as bleaching would have been. But, at least, you won’t have to risk damaging your hair in the process.
Anyway, don’t forget to wash your hair from time to time to prevent dandruff and dirt from piling up underneath it.
You shouldn’t also forget to cover it up with shower caps after you apply it. It gives your hair space to hold in the solution so it can do its work.
